The epidemic of cigarette smoking is fueling an alarming rise in lung and other cancers in persons living with HIV. Smokers living with HIV have few, if any, cessation resources available to them that address their particular needs, and HIV care providers have virtually no studies upon which to adopt an evidence based approach to achieving abstinence. The study attempts to address this serious health disparity by harnessing the enormous reach and power of the internet.
Aim 1. To examine the feasibility of Positively Smoke Free on the Web (PSFW) as a tobacco treatment strategy for persons living with HIV (PLWH) who smoke.
