Daniela Wittmann, PhD, LMSW, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Michigan Department of Urology and the Research Lead in the Department of Social Work in the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Wittmann is one of the leading members in the Prostate Cancer Survivorship Program at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Wittmann has 30 years of experience in individual, couple and family psychotherapy with patients with chronic illnesses including cancer and severe mental illness. She has been a certified sex therapist since 2008. Her research interests include the use of mixed methods to study psychosocial outcomes in cancer and the effect of cancer on sexual health. Her goal is to develop and disseminate interventions that promote psychosocial adjustment and sexual recovery after cancer treatment.
