Center for Group Dynamics, where she is also a member of the Center for
the Analysis of Pathways from Childhood to Adulthood (CAPCA).
research examines factors related to paternal risk for child
maltreatment, and how fathers may influence maternal maltreatment risk,
for example, via the incidence of interpersonal violence in the home.
Recent work uses longitudinal data to explore the influence of
acculturation on Hispanic fathers' and mothers' harsh parenting
practices, and the effects of paternal and maternal corporal punishment
