John E. Billi, MD



John E. Billi, M.D., serves as Professor of Internal Medicine and Learning Health Sciences at the Medical School, Professor of Health Management and Policy at the School of Public Health, and Associate Vice President for Medical Affairs of the University of Michigan. Dr. Billi's research and management interests are in health services delivery, the use of lean thinking to improve quality and efficiency, the use of evidence-based guidelines, population health, clinical practice transformation tied to performance-based differential reimbursement, and conflict of interest management. He leads the Michigan Quality System, which applies Lean Thinking to the continuous improvement of health care delivery at U-M.
