Research organizations that attempt to develop computer-based tailored programs through sub-contracts with outside firms almost invariably pay more and receive less than expected. A primary reason is lack of understanding of the nomenclature and requirements of the others' discipline. The CHCR though, has a significant history of successfully developing and implementing tailored interventions as a team for outside research organizations. Each team member is familiar with the theories and intricacies involved in developing health behavior interventions and conducting research trials. The team approach and experiential knowledge of the CHCR make it an ideal setting for outside institutions interested in developing tailored interventions, but in need of an experienced development team. |
