CHCR boards and consultants consist of a distinguished set of researchers with varied backgrounds and areas of expertise relevant to the Center's research objectives. We have enlisted the expertise of an interdisciplinary group of scientists, authors, physicians, educators, statisticians, psychologists, and technological specialists of the highest recognition. Consultants and members of advisory boards have been selected with care to ensure rich idea generation for the Research Projects and visionary approaches to accomplishing the immediate and long-range objectives of the Center.
Specific criterion used to select advisors and board members includes demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: 1) cognitive, psychological, or socio-cultural experience or research as related to health behavior; 2) multimedia or web-based applications of health communication materials; 3) advanced statistical experience in the areas of fractional factorial analysis, imputations, or sequential experimentation strategies; 4) technology development in the health care area; 5) information systems design or web-based data collection systems; or 6) extensive background in health education or research of tailored health and risk communications.
