This talk will describe findings from a study examining the impact of documenting in a daily diary on asthma management. The 6-week diary was part of the Women Breathe Free intervention aimed at increasing women's asthma self-management.

<a href="http://www.sph.umich.edu/iscr/faculty/profile.cfm?uniqname=mvalerio"><b>Melissa Valerio</b></a> is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.  Her interests include chronic disease management, the design and evaluation of health education materials and programs, and survey methods. She is particularly interested in health literacy and cultural competence issues related to health education and communication.
