A Web-based, Tailored, Asthma Management Program for Urban, African-American Teenagers
African-American teenagers have asthma mortality rates that are higher relative to younger ages and other race groups. This talk will describe the development, implementation, and school-based evaluation of <a href="http://chcr.umich.edu/what_we_do/projects/project.2004-07-02.5003490650/projects_page">Puff City</a>, a tailored asthma management program targeting urban youth with this condition.

Christine LM Joseph, PhD, MPH
<a href="http://chcr.umich.edu/who_we_are/people/person.2005-12-16.8800232899/person_view">Christine Joseph</a> is an epidemiologist in the Department of Biostatistics and Research Epidemiology and is the Associate Director of Research for the Institute on Multicultural Health at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. Her research has focused on asthma and allergy in urban populations and racial disparities in asthma risk factors and outcomes.<br>
