Minority Recruitment to Cancer Clinical Trials
This talk will describe some of the participant and investigator challenges regarding minority recruitment to cancer clinical trials, explore current barrier-reducing approaches identified in the literature and highlight strategies adopted by the University of Michigan Cancer Center 's Minority Outreach Initiative.

Natasha Blakeney</a> is a health educator and minority outreach coordinator at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her professional experience includes serving as the Georgia Program Coordinator for the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service and as a regional consultant for the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer. Her areas of focus include community cancer education and program planning, particularly in reaching medically underserved communities and facilitating participation in cancer prevention and control studies among communities of color. <br><br><br>
