is a professor in the Department of Statistics, a Professor of
Psychiatry and a research professor in the Institute for Social
Research at the University of
Michigan. Her research interests include methods for collecting and
analyzing empirical evidence in developing adaptive treatment
strategies. Adaptive treatment strategies are treatments that vary over
time in intensity and type in response to ongoing measures of
individual response, preferences, adherence to past treatment, and
burden resulting from past treatments. These types of treatments are particularly interesting in the management of chronic
disorders such as mental and addiction disorders and HIV
infections.<br>
