Leveraging Communication, Marketing, and Policy to Create Population-Based Health Behavior Change
This talk will examine Michael Rothschild's (1999) "Behavior Management Continuum" concept for its relevance in stimulating population-based health behavior change. We will also discuss the implications of the concept for the practice of health communication and for training health communication practitioners.

Edward Maibach, PhD
Until recently, <u><a style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);" href="http://chcr.umich.edu/who_we_are/people/person.2005-04-22.7791279953/person_view"><b>Edward Maibach</b></a></u> was the founding Director of the National Cancer Institute's Center for Strategic Dissemination. He led NCI's efforts to ensure that the results of its research were effectively translated into practice. Previously, Edward was the Worldwide Director of Social Market at Porter Novelli International, and prior to that was on the faculty at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. His research has focused on understanding the demand characteristics of populations to identify opportunities for health enhancement.<a href="http://chcr.umich.edu/who_we_are/people/person.2005-04-22.7791279953/person_view"></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"></span><br>
