Project Overview +

The Health Communications Core (HCC) supports the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMCCC) through:

  1. Assisting with a communications and technological analysis of UMCCC investigators’ intervention, recruitment, and/or retention needs.
  2. Working with UMCCC investigators to design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality print-, hand-held device, web-based, or other relevant communications channels and strategies.

Aims +

Intervention +

Any research investigator within the UMCCC may contact, without charge, the HCC for consultation in cancer communications related to recruitment, retention or intervention activities.

  • In cases where there is a significant cancer communications component of a research grant proposal, and where the HCC has a role in the grant proposal, the HCC assists, without charge, in the development of the cancer communications component of the grant proposal.
  • The HCC designs, develops, deploys, and maintains cancer communications components of research studies that have this component appropriately funded through intra- or extramural grant sources.
