J. Scott Roberts, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior & Health Education at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health (SPH), Director of the SPH Public Health Genetics program, Co-Director of the UM Dual-Degree Program in Public Health and Genetic Counseling, and Director of the Genomics, Health Society program within the U-M Center for Bioethics & Social Sciences in Medicine.

Dr. Robert's interests include the psychosocial impact of genetic risk assessment for adult-onset disorders; the development and evaluation of health education and risk communication materials in the context of genetic testing; and public health ethics. Current projects include a NIH-funded randomized clinical trial of a genetic susceptibility testing program for individuals at risk for Alzheimer's disease and a mixed methods study of the use and psychosocial implications of tumor sequencing to tailor treatment for patients with advanced cancer.
