Robert M. Sellers, PhD


Robert Sellers, PhD, is the Charles D. Moody Collegiate Professor of Psychology, and Chair of the Personality and Social Contexts area, Department of Psychology, as well as a research associate at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sellers' research interests include ethnicity, racial and ethnic identity, personality and health, athletic participation and personality.

The meta-objective of his research has been to examine the ways in which the interaction between person characteristics (e.g., identity and attributional styles) and characteristics of the social environment (or event) influence subsequent behavior and adaptational outcomes.

Dr. Sellers has served as a consultant on a variety of CHCR projects.
