CHCR is honored to have its work recognized by prestigious organizations. The Smithsonian/Computerworld Honors Program awarded its Laureate's Medal to three CHCR projects. The award identifies leadership in the global information technology revolution. The awarded projects involved interactive video providing health information to underserved, at-risk populations; tailored computer-based programs addressing multiple health risks; and creative video informing teenagers about sexually transmitted diseases. CHCR projects have also been recognized by public health specialists for innovation in health communication.
